WACO, Ga. - A Georgia businessman has a lot of people talking after posting a controversial sign on his company trucks: “New Company Policy: WE ARE NOT HIRING UNTIL OBAMA IS GONE”.
Bill Looman, owner of U.S. Cranes, LLS, said he can’t afford to hire people and he won’t be able to unless things change in Washington, according to an 11alive.com report.
Looman told 11Alive that refusing to hire isn’t a political statement. He says he can’t hire anyone because of the economy and the Obama administration.
After posting pictures of the sign on his personal Facebook page six months ago, he got a lot of positive feedback. But after it went viral Monday, people for and against his message flooded him with calls, causing him to disconnect his phone. He also had to temporarily shut down his business website because traffic was crashing the system.
