Several stores open on Thanksgiving Day

TAMPA - ABC Action News has done all the legwork to save you time and hassle for your Thanksgiving grocery shopping trip.

Several big grocery chains will be open on the holiday.

Sweetbay will be open until 5:00pm on Thanksving. There are 78 Sweetbay stores in the ABC Action News viewing area. Sweetbay representatives said nationwide they sold 4,300 frozen turkeys on Thanksgiving Day last year. They added pies, eggs and ice are also the biggest selling items on the actual holiday.

Winn-Dixie stores will also stay open for the holiday until 4:00pm.

Some Walmarts have grocery stores inside. Walmart will be open on Thanksgiving for their usual 24/7 store hours.

Whole foods will be open until 2:00pm.

Don't bother going to Publix on Thanksgiving. It will be closed. 

Some Target stores also have grocery stores inside. Target will be closed on Thanksgiving day.
