LOS ANGELES - Lindsay Lohan returns to court Wednesday to give a judge her first progress update under strict new probation requirements.

The 25-year-old has been reporting regularly for work at the Los Angeles County morgue since being threatened with a long jail sentence at her last court hearing. Lohan also is supposed to be attending court-ordered counseling sessions for previously violating her probation.

Her spokesman Steve Honig says Lohan has met or exceeded the requirements imposed by Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner last month.

Lohan is doing cleanup duty at the morgue as punishment for violating her probation on 2007 drunken case and a misdemeanor grand theft case.

Sautner is requiring Lohan appear in court for monthly updates until March.

The court hearing comes days before Lohan's mostly-nude Playboy spread hits newsstands.
