Watch out mobile food trucks, a new business is entering the enterprise on wheels scene: Mobile DNA testing, according to a Huffington Post report.
With the slogan, “Who’s Your Daddy?” written on the side of his truck, Jared Rosenth’s Health Street business in New York claims to offer quick and easy tests on the street that determine paternity and other family connections.
With testing that begins at $299, clients get DNA samples collected by technicians onboard the RV and the test is sent to an Ohio laboratory.
As with all DNA tests, prescriptions are mandatory and they can be faxed to the RV through the internet.
The turn around is quick. Results come in just three to five days later.
Some experts say now that the once complicated and time-consuming process is fast and available on the street, some families may not be prepared for the results.
Rosenth’s had his Health Street business since 2010, and some of the clients he’s served include engaged men confirming that children from previous relationships were theirs and returning soldiers looking to confirm that their the biological fathers of their newborn children.
