TALLAHASSEE - During a meeting addressing the fungal meningitis outbreak in Florida, Gov. Rick Scott unintentionally told citizens to call a sex hot line, according to a WUSF report.
Scott meant to send callers to a phone line where they could address concerns regarding meningitis.
When WUSF posted a report about the meeting along with the phone number Scott gave, readers quickly alerted the news station that the number provided was something else all together.
The actual Florida Fungal Meningitis Hotline is (866) 523-7339.
