If you hope to live to 100-years-old, new research suggests adequate sleep and improvements in diet could help you reach that goal.
United Healthcare researchers discussed health practices with centenarians and baby boomers, and found that 71 percent of those who were 100 or older got 8 or more hours a sleep. About 80 percent said they ate balanced meals.
Centenarians also mentioned that social connections, exercise and spirituality were keys to their success.
The survey found that 89 percent communicate with a friend or family member every day, 67 percent prayed or meditated and 51 percent exercise almost daily.
