It's about time: Mattel advertises Back to the Future Hover Board

A poster advertisement at Toy Fair 2012 indicates Mattel is taking orders for a Back To The Future Hover Board.

A news item on the company's MattyCollector.com website says it will be an actual-size replica of the hover board from the second and third movies.

The description goes further:  "Finally! This totally awesome 1:1 replica of the hover board ... includes multiple whooshing sounds and will glide over most surfaces (does not actually "hover" – check back in 2015 for that feature)."

There is also a note: Hover board does not work on water.

A price is expected to be announced later this month.

Preorders will be taken from March 1 to March 20 at MattyCollector.com, and the product is expected to be shipped in November or December of 2012.
