A new iPhone app promises to be honest when your friends won’t -- it's called the Ugly Meter.
As the name implies, it rates attractiveness, The Daily Mail reports.
For 99 cents, or $5 for the Ugly Meter Pro, users can upload their photos and get rated on a scale of zero to 10.
Zero denotes super sexy. Ten is the ugliest.
Photos are lined up with an onscreen grid to judge attractiveness. The app immediately gives users their score and feedback with lines like, “you’re so ugly, you could make glass cry” and “you’re so hot that you make the sun jealous.”
The app is racing up the iPhone market charts in the U.S. as well as China. The creators, Jo Overline and Ryan Allen of Arizona, say their app is just meant to be fun and it shouldn’t be taken seriously.
Famous actor Brad Pitt, widely considered attractive, received an 9.8 out 10, making him hideous, according to the Ugly Meter. His spouse, Angelina Jolie, got a 2 out of 10, rating her a hot tamale.
