CHICAGO - Galicia Malone, 21, had contractions coming at five minutes apart before her water broke Tuesday morning.

Despite being in labor, she drove herself to a voting precinct named New Life Celebration Church at 8:30 a.m.

Malone said she was a first time voter, and she wanted to do this for her daughter, so she breathed through her contractions.

After she was done, she drove herself to the hospital and gave birth to her child.
