A battle of the sexes is brewing on the football field.

Mina Johnson is an 8th grader at Southampton Academy in Virginia.

She plays for the junior varsity football team and is pretty good.

According to the Tidewater News , she sacked the quarterback four times in one game this year.

But, she didn't get any sacks in her team's most recent game.

That is because she voluntarily sat out the game because her opponents threatened to forfeit if she took the field.

They said they did not want to play against a girl.

This story has us asking you, is there room on the high school football field for a girl?

Do any of you out there understand the actions of the boys who did not want to play against her?
