DETROIT, MI - (WXYZ) - A kitten trapped in a pipe along the U.S. and Canadian border was rescued by the Michigan Humane Society Tuesday.
Residents heard noises coming from a pipe near the Ambassador Bridge. After attempts to rescue the cat were unsuccessful, someone called the MHS rescue hotline.
Once on the scene, the rescue team opened an adjacent sewer cover and climbed in to free the kitten.
The 5-week-old kitten, which has been named Alberta, will be in a foster home for weight gain before she is available for adoption.
