We all know Valentine’s Day is a day of love, but real love stands the test of time.

For a group of six couples in a Minnesota neighborhood, they have past that test with flying colors -- with marriages that have lasted for 50 years or more.

“I took one look at him and I said,  ‘I’m going to marry him. I did really,” said Gayle Fox about her husband, Wally Fox.

“She just knew a good thing when she saw it, that’s all,” her Wally replied.

That good thing has blossomed into 52 years of marriage for Wally and Gayle

Roger and Hanny Otsby have been married for 64 years and they’re still going strong, even as Hannah battles Alzheimer’s Disease.

“Do I still love her? Well I will tell you I think when something like this happens where they’re vulnerable, it’s even deeper the love you have for each other. It is for me.”

Hannah lives in a nursing home where Roger visits daily.

Another couple down the block from them, Pearl and Ralph Stahlberg, hit their 70 th year of marriage a few days ago.
