Are you ever curious about the real lives of politicians, celebrities, local newsmakers and athletes? Who are their mentors and who would they really like to meet?
Each Tuesday, ABC Action News asks 10 questions of a Bay area leader or celebrity. They're fun questions that let you get to know the person.
This week we are thrilled to hear from prominent business woman and community activist, Julie Weintraub.
You may have seen her commercials for her business "The Gold and Diamond Source" she owns with her husband.
While she is very passionate about the business, she is equally passionate about the organization, "Hands Across the Bay."
Julie feels each and every one of us can make a difference. Her mission is to support programs, organizations and people in hopes of improving the quality of life in the home she loves--the Tampa Bay region.
The efforts through "Hands Across the Bay" include gestures as simple as paying someone's electric bill to hosting black tie events including a local "Dancing with the Stars" extravaganza.
Julie has also helped Audrey Mabry. A local woman burned by her husband. Taking Action against domestic violence is a cause to our hearts here at Action News.
And, it was through Julie's trying to make life easier for Mabrey, I got to know Julie better I had seen her numerous times at community events-and she always looked beautiful.
After talking with her extensively, I saw she is just beautiful inside!
And speaking of beautiful, Julie and her husband frequently donate a beautiful piece of jewelry for various fundraiser.
