TAMPA - Are you ever curious about the real lives of politicians, celebrities, local newsmakers and athletes? Who are their mentors and who would they really like to meet?
Each Tuesday, ABC Action News asks 10 questions of a Bay area leader or celebrity. They're fun questions that let you get to know the person.
This week we hear from our very own Wayne Shattuck.
Wayne has been with ABC Action News since its inception. I have known him for more than a decade and can not express how much I have learned from Wayne. He is a consummate professional and comes from a small town called Smithfield, Iowa -- population: 350.
Wayne said his father was a grain and livestock trucker. He hoped Wayne would also drive and wanted him to be a Greyhound bus driver.
Well, lucky for us, and his dad who was really proud as well, Wayne decided to give television a try. He's had a great career beginning in Sioux City, Iowa about 30 miles from where he grew up.
Wayne then moved on and worked in Miami, Oklahoma City, Dallas, back to Oklahoma City, Los Angeles, back to Oklahoma City and then landing here in Tampa.
Wayne even did several guest spots on Good Morning America in New York
Tampa is high in his book though as there is plenty of great golfing! It's a huge passion.
