A 6-year-old Tampa girl is starting first grade this week with a new challenge. Anna Saphia had her leg amputated as the result of a genetic disorder.
This weekend, her friends are throwing her a fundraiser to help with some medical costs.
She had her leg amputated at the hip after a genetic disorder was finally diagnosed. Anna's body doesn't fight tumors which made her leg grow to almost 20 pounds - she was almost immobile and had to spend most of her time in a wheelchair.
Anna wants a prosthetic. For more information on how to help, click here: https://www.facebook.com/SupportforAS
