TAMPA BAY - Here are five things you need to know happening in Florida on Wednesday, January 2.
(1) Powerball lottery incentive check presentation
The Florida Lottery will present a Pinellas County business with an incentive check on Wednesday for selling a winning Powerball lottery ticket last month.
The Sweetbay Supermarket located at 2139 34th Street North in St. Petersburg sold the winning $50 million jackpot ticket for the December 26, 2012 drawing.
Florida Lottery Tampa District Manager Mike Purcell will present store manager Neil Ford with the $25,000 check at 10:00 a.m.
The lottery bonus commission starts at $20,000 for selling a Powerball jackpot winning ticket and increases $5,000 for each rollover to a maximum of $100,000.
So far the person holding the winning ticket has not claimed their $50 million prize. They have 180 days from the date of the drawing to do so.
(2) Sheriff Nocco swearing in
Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco will be sworn in for his first full term on Wednesday.
Sheriff Nocco was appointed by Governor Rick Scott in April 2011 to serve out former Sheriff Bob White's term. White decided to retire early mid-way through his third term as sheriff.
Nocco, a Republican, defeated Democrat Kim Bogart in November's general election by about 19 percent. Bogart also lost an election to become Pasco County Sheriff in 2008.
The swearing-in ceremony will take place at 9:30 a.m. at Redeemer Community Church at 9230 Ridge Road in New Port Richey.

(3) Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus
The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus opens its 2013 season at the Tampa Bay Times Forum on Wednesday.
Ringling Bros.'s new show titled "Built to Amaze!" Children of all ages will be thrilled by the breathtaking performances of elephants, tigers, acrobats, clowns and aerialists from across the world.
The circus performs Wednesday, Thursday Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 p.m. There are matinee shows at 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Show times on Sunday are at 1:00 and 5:00 p.m.

(4) Food Truck Fiesta
Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn's Food Truck Fiesta returns to Lykes Gaslight Square Park in downtown Tampa on Wednesday.
People will be able to choose meals from ten different food trucks from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
"Every month we've been able to add new food trucks and satisfy every taste imaginable," said Mayor Bob Buckhorn. "The fact that we've been able to do that is a testament to how vibrant food trucks are in our community and how people want to come into downtown."
One new truck joins this month's lineup: Champion Cheesesteaks.
Returning food trucks include: Fat Tortillas Southwest Grill, Tasty Stacy, The Hogfather BBQ, Nate Paul's Q4U, Maggie on the Move, Michelle Faedo's On The Go, Unforgettable Cupcakes Co., Americanwiener and The Dude and His Food.
The Food Truck Fiesta is held the first Wednesday of every month.

(5) National Buffet Day
Floridians will get one more day of holiday gluttony on Wednesday before starting their 2013 diets. Today is National Buffet Day.
