TAMPA - Here are five things you need to know happening in Florida on Thursday, September 20.
(1) President Obama in Florida
President Obama will attend two events in Florida on Thursday.
Mr. Obama is scheduled to attend a private fundraiser at a home in the Palma Ceia neighborhood of Tampa.
The gathering is reportedly to be very intimate with less than 50 people attending.
Following the fundraiser, the President will travel to Miami to participate in Univision News' "Meet the Candidates" event.
It will take place in front of a live audience at 6:30 p.m. at the University of Miami BankUnited Center Fieldhouse. The event, co-sponsored by Facebook, will focus on Latino-specific issues in the presidential election.
The program will be streamed live online and aired in English on Univision at 10:00 p.m.
(2) Mitt Romney campaigns in Sarasota
Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney will attend a campaign rally in Sarasota on Thursday. The event will take place at the Ringling Museum of Art at 5401 Bay Shore Road.

Doors open at 1:30 p.m. with the program beginning at 3:55 p.m.
No bags, sharp objects, umbrellas, liquids, or signs will be allowed in the venue. Cameras are permitted.

(3) Rowdies playoff tickets on sale
Playoff tickets for the Tampa Bay Rowdies go on sale to the public on Thursday.
Wednesday night the Rowdies clinched a spot in the NASL Semifinals with their 1-1 tie against the Carolina RailHawks.
The Rowdies will host the second leg of the NASL Semifinal on Saturday, October 13 at Al Lang Stadium. The first leg of the semifinals will be played the weekend of October 6, with the opponent and location still to be determined.
Reserved and general admission tickets will be $12 each for all home playoff games.
The NASL Playoffs consist of six teams with the top two seeds receiving a bye into the semifinal round. The remaining four teams play a single-game elimination quarterfinal match to advance to the semifinal round.
If the Rowdies advance to the Championship Round they will play a home game either on October 20 or 27.

(4) Pet Pal Animal Shelter pet food drive
The Tampa Bay Rays are partnering with Pet Pal Animal Shelter on a pet food drive on Thursday.
Fans planning to attend tonight's Red Sox-Rays game at Tropicana Field are encouraged to bring Science Diet brands, or other nutritious dog and cat food to assist the no-kill, non-profit shelter.
The Rays Wives and volunteers from the shelter will staff the collection points from when gates open until the end of the 2nd inning.

(5) Rays Star Trek Night
The Tampa Bay Rays will host their first ever Star Trek Night at Tropicana Field on Thursday when the team hosts the Boston Red Sox.
There will be Star Trek themed activities throughout the night. You will be able to get your picture taken with Klingons and Star Fleet officers in uniform in the press level of the stadium.
Fans are encouraged to come dressed in their best "Trek" attire.
