TAMPA - Here are five things you need to know happening in Florida on Friday, November 9.
(1) Northeast Exchange Club's Ribfest
The 23rd annual Ribfest opens in Vinoy Park in St. Petersburg on Friday.
The 3-day festival features lots of ribs, music and a family fun zone all for a good cause.
Through the years Ribfest has donated $3.5 million to local cause including All Children's Hospital, Child abuse prevention centers and organizations, Northeast Exchange Club service projects and installing Freedom Shrines in public buildings.
Among the major acts performing on the main stage are: Jonny Lang, Buddy Guy, Santana, Christian Connor, Heart with special guest Shawn Colvin, and Montgomery Gentry.
A Classic Car and Truck Show will be held on Saturday.

The St. Petersburg Trolley will be offering free shuttle service on Friday from 5:00 to 11:00 p.m., on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and on 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Service frequency is approximately every ten minutes.
To use the Trolley service, you can park in the Mahaffey Theater or Al Lang Field parking lots, or in the BayWalk parking garage.
(2) Tampa Bay Home Show
The Tampa Bay Home Show returns to Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg beginning on Friday.
The three-day Tampa Bay Home Show features over 600 exhibits relating to Florida homes and home improvement.
From home security to storm protection to greener living, to the latest in kitchen cabinets, carpet and tile, air conditioning systems, windows, fencing and storage solutions, the Home Show has it all.
There will be a seminar series on Saturday and Sunday featuring local experts and do-it-yourself ideas for your home. Individual booths will also feature new products, demonstrations, giveaways, advice and trade secrets.
Admission and parking are free. The Home Show opens daily at 10:00 a.m.

(3) Weezer in concert
Alternative rock band Weezer performs in concert at the Mahaffey Theater on Friday night.
The band is best known for their hit singles Buddy Holly, Undone (The Sweater Song), Say It Ain't So, Perfect Situation, Island in the Sun, Beverly Hills and Pork and Beans.
The group formed in 1992 in Los Angeles and consists of Rivers Cuomo (lead vocals, guitar), Patrick Wilson (drums, guitar), Brian Bell (guitar, keyboards), and Scott Shriner (bass, keyboards). Since forming, they have sold over nine million albums in the United States.
Weezer's eighth studio album, Hurley, was released in September 2010. The CD features a cover of actor Jorge Garcia, who played Hugo "Hurley" Reyes on the TV shot Lost.
Tonight's concert begins at 8:00 p.m.

(4) Leann Rimes in concert
County and pop singer Leann Rimes performs in concert at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater on Friday night.
The 30-year-old Rimes has earned two Grammy Awards, 3 ACM Awards, a CMA and 12 Billboard Music Awards. Billboard ranked her as the 17th top artist of the 1990-2000 decade.
Since her debut album Blue in 1996 at the age of 13, Rimes has sold more than 37 million albums and charted more than 40 singles worldwide. Her lead single, What Have I Done, from her upcoming album, Spitfire, will be released on December 10.

(5) Star Wars Miniland opens at LEGOLAND Florida
LEGOLAND Florida in Winter Haven opens its Star Wars Miniland to children of all ages on Friday.
The Miniland has been under construction for four months. Using 1.5 million LEGO bricks, the new area recreates scenes from all six live-action Star Wars movies as well as the animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series.
Visitors will be able to see the famous Cantina scene from the original Star Wars movie, as well as replicas of Luke Skywalker's X-wing starfighter, the Millennium Falcon and the Imperial Shuttle.
The unveiling ceremony will be attended by a legion of black-robed Darth Vaders. The opening will take place at 10:00 a.m.

A man was taken to the hospital Thursday after he was hit by a stray bullet while driving on SR-54 near Bruce Lane in Wesley Chapel. ABC Action News learned this is the second time a driver has been shot at on this stretch of road in the past year.
