TAMPA - Here are five things you need to know happening in Florida on Friday, February 1.
(1) NASA Day of Remembrance
NASA will pay tribute to the crews of Apollo 1, space shuttles Challenger and Columbia as well as other fallen astronauts during the agency's Day of Remembrance observance on Friday.
Today's ceremony occurs on the 10th anniversary of the disintegration of Columbia over Texas. The accident killed six American astronauts and the first Israeli astronaut to go into space.
It was determined the shuttle's wing was fatally damaged by falling foam during liftoff.
Among the people speaking at today's observance will be Evelyn Husband Thompson, widow space shuttle Columbia commander Col. Rick Husband; astronaut Eileen Collins; and Kennedy Space Center director Robert Cabana.
The ceremonies will take place beginning at 10 a.m. at the Space Mirror Memorial at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.
You can watch the Day of Remembrance observance on NASA TV or streamed live on NASA's website at www.nasa.gov/ntv.

The aircraft is scheduled to land at 11:00 a.m. at Lakeland Linder Regional Airport. It will then taxi to the Sun 'n Fun campus where it will be used as an interactive aviation classroom for all Polk County students.

The $74.2 million, eight-story Outpatient Facility will include clinics, an ambulatory surgery center, infusion and imaging facilities, research labs, and space for blood draws.
The McKinley campus is located less than a mile from the cancer center's main campus.
