TAMPA, Fla. - The little girl who lost both of her feet in a lawnmower accident last month was discharged from Tampa General Hospital after being cleared to go home.
Two-year-old Ireland Nugent was all dressed up in a sparkly yellow dress while she waited for doctors to give the ok.
According to the Facebook page the Nugent family's pastor has been updating, Ireland's parents were to be briefed this morning by medical staff on how to care for her wounds when they get home. The family's pastor, Dennis Reid, also asked for extra prayers for the family as Ireland was going to see her wounds without the bandages for the first time.
Ireland was discharged just before noon Saturday and she was all smiles when it was time to leave.
The family is returning to their Palm Harbor home, where neighbors have been pitching in to help make adjustments to the home to get it ready. Ireland's siblings were also making signs to welcome her home.
