Will America follow France into a slimmer lifestyle?

What is already a huge success in France, the Dukan diet is heading to the United States. Inspired by both the Atkins died and Weight Watchers, Pierre Dukan created a diet that he believes is better.

The Dukan diet does not involve counting calories like Weight Watchers and also does not allow an unlimited consumption of fat, like the Atkins. The Dukan diet involves four phases. The 1st is called 'attack', which is protein-rich foods only. The 2nd is 'cruise' and that is when a dieter will add vegetables. The 3rd phase is 'consolidation.' Here one can add bread, cheese, fruit, and two desserts. Finally 4th is 'stabilization' which is one day of strict protein and six days of anything.

The Dukan Diet will be available this April.
