HAINES CITY, Fla. - Haines City police arrested a man early Sunday in connection with the stabbing death of his wife.
Police were called to the couple's home on Richmar Avenue just after 1 a.m. When police got there, they say they found the victim's two sons trying to subdue Tommy Jones, 49, who had just stabbed his wife, Juanita Jackson-Jones, 56.
Jackson-Jones was pronounced dead at the scene. Her sons, identified as Floyd O'Hara, Jr., 24, and Joaquin Omar Jackson, 33, both suffered wounds while trying to fight off and subdue Jones. They were treated and released from the hospital.
Jones is charged with first degree murder and two counts of attempted first degree murder.
No word yet on the motive for the stabbing. The Haines City Police department is investigating.
