Getting to know attorney Jeff Brown with this week's '10 questions'

10 questions is a fun online article we publish every week featuring one of your top newsmakers or community members. This is a way you can get to know them better.

ABC Action News has spoken to this attorney on a variety of issues from red light camera to the stand your ground law. And now, attorney Jeff Brown is answering our 10 questions.

So, why is it two of the people he would have dinner with might be wearing fig leaves and serving apples?  Find out in this week's edition of 10 questions:

1.) What is your all time favorite movie or song?
My favorite all time movie has to be Out of Africa. I love the story about Denys Finch Hatton and his loves - Africa, adventure and living life in the moment in a very authentic way

2. Do you have a Smartphone? If so, what's your favorite app?
I have an iPhone, so if Safari is an app, then it’s definitely that. I love getting facts right away and verifying stories because I am, to some extent, a cynic.

3. Who do you count as your mentor(s)?
Clearly my father….no question.

4. What was your very first job?
Mowing lawns and doing neighborhood work like cutting brush and raking lawns.

5. If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?
I would love to be able to sing well. I love music but can’t carry a tune. It’s horrible to hear me sing - like cats in agony.

6. What do you consider your greatest success?
That’s an interesting question. I really can’t think of one thing that stands out. Maybe it is because I never focus or dwell on any success. I have an attitude I should succeed so it is failure, why I failed, and how do I not fail again that I spend more time thinking about.

7. Tell us something about you most people don't know?
Yeah, that’s not going to happen.

8. If you could have dinner with any three people, living or dead, who would they be?
My father (who is dead now 20 years) and Adam and Eve. That would be great. I could have a nice dinner alone with my dad and catch him up on everything and at the same time finally get some Christians to realize Adam and Eve are fiction and not real people.

9. What is in your fridge right now?
Basically just champagne - I love champagne. I’ll drink it any time of the day and any occasion… or even no occasion at all.

10. If you could have a different career, other than what you're doing now, what would it be?
I would have loved to start base jumping as a teenager and then progress to wearing the flying suits and jumping off mountains. Jumping off mountains and cliffs with my paraglider is as close as I can come now but it’s really not even close and I am way too old to learn that sport now.
