CLEARWATER, Fla. - The family of two-year-old Ireland Nugent celebrated Mother's Day with services at their church, Trinity Presbyterian in Clearwater, Sunday morning.
The girl lost her feet in a terrible lawnmower accident in April and was recently discharged from the hospital.
Ireland is doing well and recovering at home. Her family's church, led by Pastor Dennis Reid who has been the family's spokesperson, was happy for their return to Sunday's services.
Pastor Reid posted an invitation for the community to gather at Sunday's services on the Facebook page where he continues to keep everyone updated on Ireland's condition:
"Ireland comes home to her church family this Sunday. She would love to invite you to come out and enjoy the homecoming. 2001 Rainbow Drive, Clearwater, Florida. Service starts at 10:30am."
In the meantime, at home, Ireland continues to undergo occupational therapy and she's crawling all over the house.
Her family tells ABC Action News reporter Carson Chambers that it's hard to keep up with her and that she's already trying to pull herself back up.
