11-year-old victim of sexual battery in Pinellas County

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. - Pinellas County Deputies arrested a 34-year-old man for sexually battering an 11-year-old victim.

Anthony Grubbs was arrested after a three week investigation done by the Sheriff's Office Crimes Against Children detectives after the victim told her father she had been sexual molested by the suspect. It was discovered that the sexual battery occurred over a three year period starting when the victim was five-years-old.

Grubbs was known to the victim and was able to gain access to the child through a family member. He was able to be alone with the child at his residence, and that is then the sexual battery would occur.

Grubbs was arrested at his Clearwater home on Friday before 5pm.
