Bicyclist in life-threatening condition after collisions with pick-up truck and car in Lakeland

Bicyclist Kevin McMillan of Winter Haven is in serious condition after a collision with a pick-up truck on North Florida Ave. this afternoon. 

Around 1:39 p.m., Lakeland police responded to the crash. Initial findings indicate McMillan was crossing the northbound lanes of N. Florida Ave. from east to west when the pick-up truck driven by Daniel Harscher of Plant City collided with him in the inside lane of travel. McMillan was throw from the bicycle and into the driver side of a car driven by John Vroman of Lakeland. 

Polk County Emergency Medical Services tended to McMillan and he was transported to Lakeland Regional Medical Center. He is considered in life-threatening condition.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
