BROOKSVILLE, Fla. - Former Clicks Construction president Robert Contorno is one of four people arrested over the last four years for his role in a sinkhole scheme that prosecutors say defrauded at least four homeowners out of close to $150,000.
Contorno agreed to a plea deal on organized fraud charges. During a sentencing hearing today in Brooksville, all four homeowners told the judge how they paid for sinkhole repairs that were never finished.
In the next few weeks, the judge will decide how much restitution Contorno will pay along with his five years of probation.
