TAMPA - There will soon be fewer mailboxes in downtown Tampa. Postal officials say they will temporarily remove more than half a dozen collection boxes starting August 19.
Removing the mailboxes is expected to increase both safety and security for the Republican National Convention. Here are the locations where a mail box will be removed:
Customers using these collection boxes may bring their mail to Tampa's Commerce Station at 401 N. Ashley Drive.
The mailboxes will be put back in place during the week of September 2.
