TAMPA - Have you tried arepa de chocolo, also known as sweet corn pie? Or pastelillo de guava y queso -- guava and cheese pastry?
The specialty dishes are served up at La Antioquena Bakery and Sandwich Shop on Waters Avenue in Tampa.
But one local customer, Joey, says his experience was so unappetizing, he snapped some pictures.
"See that on the bottom? That's roach feces! You can just tell by looking at it," said Joey, as he showed ABC Action News anchor Wendy Ryan the photos on his phone.
Sanitation specialists from the Department of Agriculture did not find roaches, but did find other critical issues, failing the bakery twice over a one-year period on 8/21/12 and 9/1/11 with poor sanitation ratings. They also gave the place five fair grades on 9/18/12, 7/17/12, 6/7/12, 1/20/12, and 9/18/11.

State inspectors score facilities with either good, fair or poor grades during each inspection.
So Ryan went into La Antioquena to try and get some answers.
"Can we talk to the manager?" Ryan asked.
"He's not here," a female employee answered.
"Can you talk to us about your latest inspection reports over the last year?" Ryan went on to ask.
But the employee claimed she only worked there a month and she didn't know much about the bakery conditions in the past.
But our ABC Action News camera caught some unpleasant conditions in plain sight, like bugs crawling on kitchen equipment and other questionable sanitary practices.
However, it's the temperature issues that had sanitation specialists busy this year, documenting meat pies at a hazardous temperature in September, July and January of 2012.
Other critical violations included no cold running water for employees to wash their hands, no date marking on left-over foods and a sewage leak so severe last year, the place had to stop selling any products for 24 hours until it was fixed.
"What about the owner?" Ryan asked the employee.
"He's coming tomorrow," she responded.
But tomorrow won't come for Joey.
"I just don't think they care too much about being clean," Joey adamantly said.
Over the past week and a half, Ryan called the bakery several times to speak to the owner or manager but no one returned her calls.
