If you’ve noticed your favorite groceries seem to give you a little less bang for your buck these days, you're not hallucinating.

The amount of food in grocery store boxes is shrinking, according to a recent consumer report.

They found that 14 products in all have recently gotten smaller, including Maxwell coffee.

The old can made 270 cups. For the same price, the new one only makes 240.

Pillsbury cake mixes recently shrunk by three ounces. The old mix makes 24, but the new mix barely stretches to 21.

Manufacturers say that they’re downsizing products because customers prefer smaller products over higher prices.
