UnitedHeath Group is telling hospitals and health systems across Florida and the country they must meet performance standards to get rate increases. The goal of pay-for-performance is to improve the quality and cut the cost of care.
The Florida Department of Transportation is looking into building "managed toll lanes" in Tampa Bay on Interstate 275 and 4. Similar roads on Interstate 95 in Miami-Dade County guarantees a 50 mph minimum speed lane.
The University of Tampa is building an 11-story $38 million residence hall at the site of the former Valencia Garden restaurant on Kennedy Boulevard.
