Local interior designers offer solutions to homeowners

Do you have a room in your house that you just don't know what to do with?

It may be a spare bedroom that's piled with unused items - that you're dying to makeover into a usable space.

The Harrison family in St. Petersburg is in the middle of renovating their family room and want it to be functional for their two young daughters.

It is a 16 x 20 foot room with 8 to 9 foot high ceilings and French doors leading out to the backyard. Currently, the only concrete plan the family has is to mount a large flat screen television to the back wall.

On Saturday morning, interior designers Enrique Crespo and Kylie Italiano, with Casa Nova in South Tampa, offered their advice for the room.
