When the holidays roll around, we tend to deck the halls with boughs of holly and, you know, calories. And who can blame you? Delicious meats, breads and sweets flood your jobs, holiday parties and homes, whispering “eat me”.
But some of our favorite fast food holiday drinks are loaded with enough calories to be a heavy meal. So if you’re trying to avoid packing on the pounds this season, The Daily Meal advises that you avoid the following drinks.
Sonic Drive-In- Pumpkin Pie Shake
This seasonal treat mixes icecream, pumkin, nutmeg, cinnamon and pieces of pie crust. Bottom line: 20 ounce size is 1,040 calories, 420 from fat
Chick-fil-A Peppermint Chocolate Chip Shake
This delicious minty goodness is nearly as many calories as four orders of 8-count chicken nuggets.
Bottom line: Large size is 930 calories, 31 grams of fat, 127 grams of sugar.
Starbucks: Eggnog Latte
Too much of this sweet cup of nostalgia and you may be bursting out of your jeans come January.
Bottom line: 620 calories and 29 grams of fat. And that’s without the whipped cream.
