If the end is coming, why not go out with a bang?
The Mayan calendar ends on Dec. 21, 2012 and some think that means the end of the world. So to celebrate our last day of existence, party stores are offering all the items you need to party like there’s no tomorrow.
From flowery leis to coconut cups, places like Party City are marketing the possible apocalypse like a luau. The store is also selling “I survived the Mayan calendar” T-shirts and “party like there’s no to-Maya” beaded necklaces. http://bit.ly/OMMDPL
If the end comes by fire, perhaps you’ll want a lava shot: one part Firewater cinnamon schnapps, one part Everclear and a splash of Tabasco sauce. The website DoomsdayParty2012.com suggests libations like “Black Death”, “The Four Horsemen Ride Again” and “The Shuffling Zombie.” For more recipes “to die for” (Their words, not mine) click here:
For those of you not hosting your own party, plenty of bars will being doing the work for you, Some of these theme parties have been planed for years, so you might want to check to see if you needs tickets for your favorite spot.
Dec. 21 falls on a Friday, so you won’t have to worry about setting an alarm clock for the next morning. Then again, if you really believe the end is near, you probably aren’t worried about it.
