ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Hardee's and Carl's Jr. restaurants are now testing a foot-long cheeseburger with three beef patties, three cheese slicks, lettuce and tomatoes and served on a 12-inch hoagie roll.

The burger is not for the faint of heart, because you could go straight from the dining room to the emergency room. The 12-inch long sandwich comes fully stocked with 850 calories and 20 grams of saturated fat.

The cheeseburger is currently only available at fifty Carl's Jr. restaurants in Southern California and 50 Hardee's restaurants in Indiana. If the sandwich proves popular, expect it to be launched nationwide within three to six months.

The burger sells for $4 without lettuce and tomatoes and $4.50 with. Cheese is included.

This is not the first time the restaurant chain has gone big. Previously, Hardee's and Carl's Jr. introduced a 1,320-calorie half-pound Monster Burger and a 770-calorie Monster Biscuit that had 55 grams of fat.
