Anxiety, fears and phobias are terms that are relevant and familiar to people of all ages.

As adults we view these feelings negatively but kids should be encouraged to view them as normal and necessary even though they are uncomfortable and typically don’t feel very great.

The reason for this to be viewed in a positive light with kids is the fact that it will prepare them to handle the unsettling experiences and challenging situations that are part of life.

Angela Ardolino, editor of Tampa Bay Parenting Magazine, offers some tips to help parents spot the signs of anxiety, fears and phobias in kids and some tips to help calm them.
