TAMPA BAY, Fla. - A new big blue dog is rolling into Tampa Bay this week. It’s not a real animal but a new mobile pet grooming service called Hydrodog. The business has teamed up with the Humane Society of Tampa Bay and the Humane Society of Pinellas County for two fundraising events starting Friday.
At Davis Islands Dog Park in Tampa on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. you can get your dog professionally washed for free. There is a $20 suggested donation to benefit the Humane Society. Then on Saturday, Hydrodog will be at John Chestnut Sr. Park in Palm Harbor offering the same service. The event will be from 9:00 a.m. until noon.
Also on Friday in St. Petersburg parents can get their children’s car seats checked by professionals to make sure they are properly installed. The event is to promote Child Passenger Safety Week. Technicians will be on hand at All Children’s Hospital parking lot on Friday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Technicians want to make sure that car seats, booster seats are properly installed and protect children adequately based on their weight and height.
