Trinity - Pasco and Pinellas county deputies and officers made several arrests Friday, after an undercover sting turned up crack cocaine, marijuana, and nearly 50 guns.

The suspects include the son of a former Chicago Bulls player and a registered sex offender both living in Pasco County.

Deputies say Gyasi Heard owned the Legacy Tattoo Shop in Palm Harbour. When they showed up to his shop Friday morning, the former professional basketball player wasn't there but 12 guns were inside.

Officers believe he's connected to an elaborate drug and weapons scheme.

"Look at these weapons. They were in Pasco County. These weren't in Afghanistan or Iraq but right here in Pasco county," says Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco.

Investigators went door to door Friday morning right to the doors of the suspects. Gang member and registered sex offender Christopher Vasquez and Crystal Vasquez were picked up at an apartment in New Port Richey.

"There was a SWAT team here and police here," says Holly Gallagher who lives next door.

She had no clue the officers were picking up guns and crack cocaine inside.

"I just had the kids go in their room and hide," she said.

It doesn't end there. Just a few miles down the road in Trinity, deputies recovered 29 guns in what appears to be an upscale community. After a resident invited us into the gated community, we found shattered glass outside the home registered to former pro basketball player and tattoo shop owner, Gyasi Heard.

People who live in the Trinity neighborhood were simply stunned.

"Thirty guns sounds like overkill for anything," says resident Toni Hutchison.

It's why deputies wanted them off the street and the suspects behind bars.

"There's a lot of kids that live over here. That's pretty dangerous," says resident Cheryl Malave.

"I don't want them exposed to that," Gallagher said while playing with her children.

Officers say they made 11 undercover drug deals with the suspects and even purchased a gun from them.
