DOVER, Fla. - A 20-year old man is in critical condition following a drive-by shooting in Dover early this morning.
Deputies responded to 3418 Lindsey Street shortly after 1:00 a.m. after someone called to report multiple shoots being fired at the house.
Deputies say 3 car loads of Hispanic males drove by the house and occupants in at least two of the cars fired shots at people who had gathered at the house for a party.
Guests at the party fired back and Jose Luis Hernandez, who was driving one of the vehicles, was shot in the head.
Passengers in Hernandez's car put him in the back seat and drove him to a hospital in Plant City and dropped him off. Hernandez was flown to St. Joseph's Hospital and is listed in extremely critical condition.
The car was found abandoned in Plant City and is now being processed for evidence.
Investigators say the shooting appears to be gang related. No arrests have been made.
