Huntsville, AL - Make love not war. That's the feeling an adult toy and novelty shop in Huntsville, Alabama hopes their Valentines Day
promotion will inspire. The store, Pleasures, is issuing store credit in exchange for guns.
The promotion is called "Guns for Toys". It runs through February 15. Pleasures' owner wants guns off the streets to lea to "fun between the sheets," that's according to the promo's motto.
The adult toy store has hired a license gun dealer to come to the shop on specific days to collect the guns. They hope the "Guns for Toys" promotion will mean at least 300 guns are off the streets.
Once the guns are collected, most of the weapons will be refurbished and sold at an auction. A portion of the money the firearms bring in will go to a state government organization set up to help victims of violent crimes.
Any weapons that are traced back to a crime of any sort will be turned over to authorities.
