Puzzle games for iOS are far from a new concept. But when Apple anoints your game as the "Game of the Week", you better be able to bring it. Fortunately for game developer Firemint, they were able to do just that.
In Spy Mouse, the goal is simple: get the cheese while evading the cats.
Controls in Spy Mouse are similar to those of Flight Control, one of Firemint's other successful games. Simply draw a line to move the mouse. That's all.
You'll find power ups along the way, all of which will help you evade the evil cats.
Like many other puzzle games, the fun in Spy Mouse isn't necessarily in passing the stages, but completing all of the tasks that each level has.
Bosses in Spy Mouse are challenging, but not so difficult that you don't want to keep playing until you beat them.
The soundtrack, while basic, is an entertaining mix of spy and elevator music.
If I had one complaint, it would be that the controls can be a little cumbersome for someone with bigger hands, like myself. This would likely be remedied with an iPad version of the game.
Overall, Spy Mouse was easily worth ninety-nine centers and is worthy of the title "Game of the Week".
