Football (no, not THAT football) season is almost upon us again thanks to the upcoming release of EA's FIFA 12.

While the demo we played is limited to six teams and one style of game play, it gives you more than enough time to see how brilliant the physics provided by the Player Impact Engine really are. The game FEELS real, which is something I can't say about most sports games.

Dribbling, which has given players fits for years, has also been improved in this game.

On the visual side, the game looks great. The grass has texture, the shadows are realistic and the players look better than ever.

I'm sure the full version of the game will have some bugs, but this demo is pretty close to flawless.

Bottom line: This demo makes me want to go buy the game, even if I know more about American football than its much more popular counterpart. You can pick up FIFA 12 on September 27th for your PS3, XBOX 360, Wii, PC and PSP.
