The British songstress Adele has an American look-alike.

And she's a hit!

The faux Adele, Michelle Meredith accompanied by a group of Michigan State students and alumni starred in and produced a lib dubbed music video for Adele's "Set Fire to the Rain."

It was meant to be a fun project, until the video took off on YouTube and is now a viral hit.

The video has received mixed feedback but a representative from the group says they are encouraged by the overwhelming response which they feel is mostly positive.

Regardless of what viewers' stance is on the video, they can all agree on one thing; Meredith's resemblance to Adele is uncanny.

But don't take our word for it, check it out for yourself. (mobile users visit http://youtu.be/PsWD1FcRYlk)
