Just when you thought the sun was setting on Rebecca Black’s YouTube hit “Friday”, an advertising exec over at Kohl’s decided to infiltrate our TV sets with a parody commercial just in time for Black Friday -- Rebecca Black Friday, that is.
The ad parodies the wildly popular “Friday” video, which received over 167 million hits on Youtube.
The commercial features a Rebecca Black look-alike with a permanent smile plastered across her face as she aggressively shops for deals, steals an item from someone's shopping cart and skips an elderly woman in line.
She sings the famous words, “Friday, Friday” just like 14-year-old Rebecca Black would, except this woman is singing about the glorious must-have Black Friday deals at Kohl’s.
After being posted for nearly a week, the Youtube video garnered 330,274 views. Although the numbers pale in comparison to the original, it’s a safe bet Friday fans and haters alike will get a healthy dose of the ad, which is airing all over the U.S.
