Rapper WILL.I.AM accomplished his mission to premiere his new track on Mars on Tuesday (28Aug12).

The Black Eyed Peas star teamed up with bosses at NASA to debut Reach for the Stars through the speakers of the Curiosity rover, which landed on the planet earlier this month (Aug12) on a fact-finding mission.

He made history on Tuesday when his track became the first song to be played on another planet and transmitted back to Earth.

In a post on Twitter.com while at NASA headquarters, he wrote, "Thank you... for making magic with the orchestra on Reach For The Stars... now that's big... first song to be beamed back from Mars..."
