Family favorite TOY STORY is set to make a creepy comeback on TV next year (13) for a Halloween special.

The popular franchise has spawned two follow-up films since the original movie - featuring the voices of Tom Hanks and Tim Allen - hit cinemas in 1995, and the last installment became the highest-grossing film of 2010 with profits of more than $1.6 billion at the worldwide box office.

Movie bosses have now announced fans will be treated to a fourth film, which will be made for the small screen.

Toy Story of Terror will be a TV special due to air around Halloween in 2013.

Last year (11), Hanks revealed Toy Story 3 would not be the end of the franchise, insisting plans were under way for a fourth installment: "I think there will be (another film)... Yeah (I) think they're working on it now."
