Looks like Ashton Kutcher had to eat his tweets after lambasting the Penn State Board of Trustees for firing coach Joe Paterno Wednesday night. Apparently the movie star hadn’t heard the heavily publicized claims that Paterno covered up child rape, according to a report from TMZ.com.

Kutcher tweeted, “"How do you fire Jo Pa? #insult #noclass as a hawkeye fan I find it in poor taste."

Paterno was axed amid accusations of the coach helping to cover up the sexual abuse of eight young boys allegedly inflicted by former Penn State assistant coach Jerry Sandusky.

Mere moments after Ashton tweeted, Twitter lit up with tweets that simultaneously informed Kutcher of the Penn State scandal while insulting the star at the same time.

“ (expletive) you. He covered up child rape you sick, geriatric (expletive)."

Kutcher removed his tweet about a half an hour later, and said he fully recanted his previous tweet, saying #admitwhenYoumakemistakes.
