Singer KELLY CLARKSON and rockers THE FRAY have shown off their generous sides by helping to cover medical bills for a hospitalized stagehand.

The 57-year-old crew member was setting up Clarkson's co-headlining 2012 Summer Tour with The Fray in Phoenix, Arizona on 1 August (12) when he suffered a stroke.

According to TMZ.com, the tour worker did not have health insurance, so Clarkson and The Fray reached into their own pockets and helped collect $2,200 for him.

A charitable fund is also being set up to help the unnamed man, who is still in an intensive care unit.
