If you find the life of Honey Boo Boo to be fascinating, Barbara Walter seems to agree with you.

The breakout star of Toddlers and Tiaras, who now stars in the spin-off reality program, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo is 7-year-old Alana Thompson, and she has been added to Walter's annual list of "Most Fascinating People" for 2012.

Alana has made a name for herself as an outspoken personality and a self-admitted redneck who wants everyone to "redneckognize" how awesome she is. Alana's family, especially her mother, June, has been hot fodder among bloggers and mainstream media, with many questioning June's parenting style.

Walters, 83,  says she knows that there will be backlash for adding the beauty pageant princess in her December special,  but she believes Alana and her family are more than fart jokes, sketti (spaghetti with ketchup and butter).

"It's a love story," Walter told US Weekly.

She believes the old-fashion family values combined with their unconventional lifestyle is a part of their appeal.

"...the relationship between Alan and her mother--that's the story, the two of them. It's very touching," Walters said.
