I-Team Investigator Michael George joined ABC Action News in November of 2010. Michael is always looking to uncover stories important to our community. He is interested in exposing government workers wasting time on the job and ways in which your tax dollars are being misused.

Michael grew up in Palm Springs, California, but he got his start in TV news at the University of Southern California, where he served as executive producer and anchor of the award-winning student newscast Annenberg TV News. He started out doing sports, reporting on USC volleyball and football games, but eventually discovered he had a passion for news.

After college, Michael left sunny southern California for North Dakota. He served as NBC’s political reporter in the state’s capital, Bismarck.

More recently, he worked for NBC at WTMJ in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, covering the biggest stories in the state for 4 years.

Among the most memorable stories Michael covered are the tragic murder of six young people in Crandon, Wisconsin, the funeral of President Gerald Ford, snowstorms, floods, and tornadoes, and numerous presidential visits.

Michael enjoys giving back to the community in his free time. He is a big advocate for blood, bone marrow, and organ donation and also tutors at schools in need of volunteers.

Michael loves to hear from viewers. You can contact him anytime at mgeorge@abcactionews.com.
